These are the individuals who stand in our way of gaining power in Paragon City, the Rogue Isles, and the world. Among heroes, our chief obstacles are the Leapin’ Lizard and the members of the hero group The Guardsmen, profiled below. Infamy Unlimited members are directed to destroy these individuals whenever possible — with the exception of the Leapin’ Lizard. He is for the Ghoul alone.

The Guardsmen

-Knightshade-Knightshade (Mutant Scrapper, Claws/Dark) is here shown in one of the few photographs anyone has been able to obtain of the hooded hero.  One of the core Guardsmen, he has worked hard to position himself as a shadowy terror to the criminal community.  We don’t know who -Knightshade is, but we believe his ability to wrap himself in darkness is genetic in origin.  In more than one encounter, we have managed to definitely corner him, only to see him slip into a shadow and disappear.  [Grinning Ghoul Note: Intangibility?  Teleportation?  Trickery?  We need to learn more!]  Since the average thug on the street is terrified of -Knightshade, it falls to supervillains like ourselves to end this hero’s career once and for all.
Ms. MysteriaMs. Mysteria (Magic Blaster, Ice/Electricity) is one of the dominant personalities among the loosely-led Guardsmen. She claims to be some sort of higher-dimensional being, taken shape in our universe on a mission to restore the “cosmic equilibrium”. Scoff at her as you like, but do not underestimate the considerable mystical energy she commands. Our own mystic, Solitary Star, describes Ms. Mysteria’s aura as “alien and disturbing.” Be on guard for her during any Paragon City operations; she has an inconvenient tendency to foresee danger and intercept crimes before their commission.
Burning HorizonBurning Horizon (Science Blaster, Fire), an extraterrestrial with an odd sense of humor, is quite vocal about his own past, though it is bizarre enough that we might doubt its accuracy.  A scientist on his (unidentified) home planet, he was performing black hole research when a mishap drew him into one, depositing him in our solar system.  His protective suit, absorbing the heat of atmospheric entry, became merged with his skin, and through some unknown process he is able to channel that heat outwards.  Burning Horizon is quick to admit that he himself does not understand how his powers work.  Perhaps, if we can subdue him, we can discover more in our labs.  At any rate, it would shut him up.
Living LavaLiving Lava (Science Tanker, Fire/Earth) is Dr. Martin Reese, renowned geologist. While exploring the tunnels deep underneath Paragon City’s cavernous “Hollows”, Dr. Reese was transformed by unknown energies into a being of pure magma. He generates tremendous heat from his body, and can also harden his molten fists to deliver rock-hard punches. Living Lava’s specialty is the Hollows, and few law-abiding individuals know the area’s endless caverns and denizens better than he. The Guardsmen headquarters contains heat-shielded scientific equipment to allow him to conduct research without melting the materials.
SylvanusSylvanus (Mutant Defender, Empathy/Rad) is depicted here in one of his many shapes, as he appears able to switch between this “plantlike” form and a more normal human appearance.  Somehow, this individual has become infused with plant bio-energy, which he is able to emit in the form of damaging blasts.  He has also shown regenerative powers comparable to the Leapin’ Lizard’s, and what is more, seems able to transfer his gift of spontaneous healing to others.  Sylvanus pursues an ecological agenda as he assists his fellow Guardsmen.  Research into a way to weaken or kill this dangerous hero is underway even now.
ScintillaScintilla (Science Defender, Rad/Rad), aka Susan Helenski, gained her photon-controlling abilities during her short tenure as a physics lab assistant. Her carelessness, combined with a villain raid on the lab during an experiment, caused Ms. Helenski to be briefly trapped inside a photon-compression field. This contact gave Scintilla her powers as well as permanently reducing her to a height of approximately 1 meter. Her flighty personality has not changed from before the accident, and she is very good friends with the Leapin’ Lizard and is his closest contact within the Guardsmen. Nonetheless, despite her powers, Infamy Unlimited does not regard Scintilla as a threat. She is an irritant.
Electra Sockett (Magic Blaster)
Deliria (Magic Controller, Gravity/Storm)
Moonrise (Natural Scrapper)
AmericanClassic (Natural Tanker, Invul/SS)
The White Gull (Magic Defender)
D (Tech Blaster)
Lionheart Valor (Science Defender, Empathy/Energy)

Independents

FerylFeryl (Natural Blaster, Archery/Devices) is a former professional assassin. What we know about her amounts to this: she is Vietnamese-American; her preferred weapon is a state-of-the-art bow; and she came to Paragon City in early 2005. Contracted by the Family to hunt down the Leapin’ Lizard, Feryl pursued her target for several months, but failed to kill the hero. Then, for reasons unknown, she abandoned her mercenary lifestyle and now exclusively hunts criminals in her own fashion. Feared by criminals, hunted by police, and distrusted by most heroes, her skill at hiding has served her well; she is hard to track down unless she wants to be found. Feryl is of note to Infamy Unlimited mainly because of her ties to the Leapin’ Lizard. No longer her quarry, the Lizard is one of the few heroes who seems to believe Feryl’s change of heart, and the two have since cooperated on several cases.

Asp QueenThe Asp Queen (Magic Corruptor, Darkness/Fire), if her own boasts are to be believed, is a 5000-year-old Egyptian sorceress named Nefersetet. In her own time, that of the Old Kingdom, she was put to death for attempting to steal the power of the Pharaoh with evil spells. When a team of unwitting 21st-century archaeologists unsealed her tomb during a planetary alignment, Nefersetet was resurrected, and now resumes her aspirations to godhood and power over the known world. Certainly there is no question that the Asp Queen is an enchantress of considerable power. In her short time on the Rogue Isles, she has already begun to assemble a powerbase of slaves and servants from among the Hellions, Skulls, and Snakes. We must keep an eye on this arrogant sorceress. The Grinning Ghoul will brook no rivals to Infamy Unlimited’s own bid for dominance.
